Our Teaching Philosophy
What is pedagogy? Simply put, it’s how we teach. At General Day Nursery, our teaching approach draws from some of the most respected early years education theorists, creating a blend of methods that focus on child-led learning and exploration.
Montessori Approach
Maria Montessori believed that children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore their environment.
The Reggio Emilia Approach
This approach sees the environment as the “third teacher”, alongside educators and families. It focuses on building strong relationships and encouraging child-led play.
